How To DIY Pedicure At Home For Soft Feet

Visiting the nail salon for a pedicure can often feel like a luxury, especially when considering the cost these days. With that in mind I decided – why not bring the salon experience home? Not only could I pamper my feet, but I could also do so without straining my wallet.

The beauty of this approach is that most of the products I use are budget-friendly and won’t cost you an arm and a leg. They’re just a click away on Amazon or just a short trip away at your local dollar store. In the following sections, I’ll share my at-home pedicure routine, a ritual I indulge in every 2 weeks to ensure my feet stay looking nice, soft, and healthy.

If you’re curious about how I manage to save both time and money while keeping my feet looking fabulous, read on!

Steps to achieving soft feet in the comfort of your own home:

1. My pedicure routine begins with setting up my foot spa. I fill it with warm water then infuse it with my favorite foot soak.

    2. Next, on the list is to prep your nails before soaking them. Remove any old nail polish from nails using a nail polish remover and cotton rounds.

    3. Soak your feet in the warm water that you infused with your favorite foot soak for about 10-15 minutes to soften the skin and cuticles.

    4. Removing your feet from the foot spa, push back your cuticles gently using a cuticle pusher.

    5. After gently pushing back the cuticles, shape your nails to the desired length and style using a nail file. If necessary, ensure to clean beneath your toenails. Once done, immerse your feet back into the foot soak for a few more minutes.

    6. After soaking feet, apply your favorite foot scrub and use an electric foot file or pumice stone to exfoliate and remove any dead skin.

    7. Then, apply foot cream, your favorite moisturizer or coconut oil to moisturize before applying cuticle oil to your cuticles.

    8. Wait at least 30 minutes before applying any nail polish to your feet to ensure proper drying.

    9. Lastly, apply a base coat, then your chosen nail polish color, and then a topcoat.

    10. After your nail polish has dried completely, depending on if you used gel or regular polish you are finally finished with your diy at home pedicure! Get ready to show off those soft feet! 🙂
