Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays. Why? I’m seriously a hopeless romantic. I love seeing the cute couples, the gift exchanges and happy smiles on everyone’s faces. Any day that allows you to show love towards that special someone rather it’s your spouse, friends, children or family it always puts a smile on my face.

Of course with Valentine’s Day or any holidays there are a few things that grind my gears. So, I decided to create a list of some pet peeves. Keep reading to see what they are 🙂

I’m single again this year!

The single person who continuously updates their Facebook status every Valentine’s Day complaining about how lonely they are.

We have to celebrate!

When someone acts like it’s the end of the world if they can’t celebrate on Valentine’s day. If Valentine’s day is the only day you show or receive affection from your spouse then you may need to re-evaluate your relationship. ☕️

Where is my gift?

Don’t be the person on social media who puts their spouse on blast because you didn’t receive the gifts you wanted this year. It is seriously not the end of the world.

I have to buy her everything!

The pressure society puts on men to spend tons of money on Valentine’s day.

Toxic Love

The couple that we know have been cheating on each other all year but tries to paint this picture perfect image on Valentine’s Day.

“The Negative Nancy”

The ‘Negative Nancy” who claims she’s happy spending the holiday alone but constantly updates statuses throwing shade towards couples.

Social media validation

The couple that updates Facebook on their every move throughout the day. There is nothing wrong with posting but only if you aren’t doing it to seek validation from others.

Love,

All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them. – Walt Disney
