“To the people who contributed to your sense of low self esteem will be ashamed when God gets through unleashing you. You won’t have to prove anything. God will prove it for you.” – Unknown

Low Self Esteem: A person who lacks confidence within themselves and what they can do.

Common Signs: Constant negative thoughts about yourself, depression, feeling ashamed of your physical appearance and neglecting your own needs.

I can definitely relate to anyone out there who has or is currently going through emotions of not feeling valuable or worthy. People who lack self confidence, self love and are suffering from low self esteem issues. These negative thoughts and emotions are extremely familiar to me.

Unfortunately, I was a victim of bullying and during those times I allowed others negative opinions about me pollute my young mind. Which caused me to have insecurities, confidence issues and low self esteem.

Looking back I wish I had someone to encourage the younger version of myself to stand in confidence and self love. To hold my head up high despite what others have to say because they’re just projecting their own insecurities on to me.

I wish I had someone to tell me to keep smiling and working on being the best version of myself. To block out the haters because “what other people say about you is their reality, not yours.”

Someone to remind me that I have to love, cherish and fall madly in love with the person I see in the mirror everyday.

Low self esteem will have you believing thoughts about yourself that aren’t even true. It took me a very long time to heal my low self esteem and confidence issues. So, the journey will definitely not be easy but it will definitely be worth it. You will find so much joy and peace once you’ve taken the steps to truly heal yourself.

“The more you love yourself, the less nonsense you’ll tolerate from others.”

What others used against me to tear down my confidence I turned into something positive. Despite what the world said I knew they were all lies because “I am beautiful, worthy and was created for a specific purpose.”

Continue to be the beautiful soul that you are inside and out. Forget what ANYBODY has to say because you know WHO you are! Now, let’s show the world the beautiful and confident person that you are becoming. πŸ™‚
