Throughout life we have all received some type of advice. Whether it was good or bad. We pick and choose which ones we will apply to our personal lives. I was curious to know what others would say is the best advice they have ever received. So, I asked some good friends to share their best advice. I hope that this blog will be helpful to you.

“Hey, I’m writing a blog and the question I wanted to ask is: What’s the best advice you have received in life? Why is it valuable to you and how do you apply it to your life?”

“Don’t let what others might say about you affect your life.”

There’s going to be people who will talk about you just because. Don’t let them get in the way of your goals. This advice is valuable to me because I use to let what others say about me affect the moves I made in my life. So, now i’m living my life carefree.

“It’s your life. You know what’s best for you.”

This advice is so valuable to me because I use to let others opinions dictate my life instead of listening to myself. The only person who knows what you need in life besides God is you. It’s great to hear others opinions but YOU have to live your life at the end of the day. It’s your happiness that is on the line. So, live YOUR life to the fullest. Make yourself happy. You only have one life why not do things that your passionate about. You know what’s best for you!!

“Don’t ever let them see you sweat”

Don’t let people see that your emotions have shifted or that they have made you feel some type of way. Keep your composure at all times. It’s valuable to me because when you show people that they can change your mood knowingly that may give them the idea that they have power over you. I use this advice often when I’m at work. I use it often because I don’t want customers or coworkers to think they running things my way lol.

”Forgive yourself!”

You’re going to make mistakes and all you can do is learn from them and not beat yourself up about it.

“Don’t give people that much room in your mind.”

I’ve used this advice since my college days. I won’t say the best; but this is something that millennial generation deals with. It’s valuable because it has allowed me to have so much peace. I apply to anything and anyone who has interrupted my peace. Peace is vital. When you don’t have peace your mind is unstable and incapable of performing at its max.

“Troubles want last always.”

Whenever I am having a bad day I always think about this quote. I know that if I continue to have faith this situation that I am in will get better. The saying “weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning” helps too. Both of these quotes help me to get through the day.

“He didn’t bring you this far to leave you.”

Whenever I feel like giving up this quote always comes into my mind. It motivates me to keep going. It’s valuable to me because it tells me to keep pushing myself because I made it this far for a reason. I use this quote in life whenever I am feeling down about something. I think about how far along I have come and keep pushing to the finish line.

“The only thing to do with good advice is to pass it on. It is never of any use to oneself.”
