Don’t Fall In Love With My Flowers If You Can’t Handle My Roots….

You never took the time to know me. You just fell in love with the beauty of me.

blog-2

You didn’t take the time to understand me. All you wanted to do was admire my flowers. You never took the time to see my roots.

You never took the time to peel back the layers and look into my heart. You only fell in love with my flowers. But, once my flowers started falling one by one. Just like that paper sailboat you slowly drifted away. You didn’t stay around to see my flowers grow again.

Because, you fell in love with what you could see. The exterior not what’s held underneath. You have to understand that you can’t fall in love with only half of me. You have to love all of me. Every single imperfection and flaw.

You can’t fall in love with my flowers without connecting with my roots.

Flowers are beautiful and delicate.

We have to understand that even though a flower is beautiful on the outside.

Some flowers that you see are not ready to be picked yet.

There are some flowers that still need to grow.

Some flowers that still need to heal.

Flowers that still need to blossom.

We must treat ourselves as flowers.

Allow ourselves to grow and blossom.

Don’t allow someone to fall in love with your flowers before they get to know your roots. Your roots are what defines you as a person.

They fell in love with your exterior and not the most beautiful piece of you.

Which is your roots.

So, when autumn comes and your petals and leaves are falling…..

Remember what will a beautiful flower be without its roots.

Stay Beautiful My Queen!

Love,
